Hasan Masat, who started trading in 1965 by selling desserts; in 1980 he went to Syria to learn about the production of Künefe. He stayed 10 years in Syria and came back to Turkey in 1990 and established the first Künefe production facility.

Quality and hygiene has always been essential for Hasan Masat and he established trust by getting certified with ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 22000 Food Safety Management system.

Now, Hasan Masat continues his work with 7 branches, 2 Production Facilities, 2 Logistic Warehouses, 67 Franchises and Distribution points; by serving high quality and hygienic to his dear customers, he keeps earning your trust.

In addition, a new production facility is established in Macedonia in order to serve Europe more easily. Our brand, which has all the necessary documents, has received quality certificates from many institutions and organizations about hygiene.

Künefe is said to be originated in Syria and Lebanon and its homeland in Turkey is Hatay, located in Southeast region. Künefe is a dessert prepared with kadayif and cheese and served hot.

During the Ottoman period, some of the soldiers who went to Yemen engaged in dessert making and continued their work when they returned to their homeland. Producing Künefe started in 1940s in Hatay, Turkey.

Although it is not known which generation it belongs to, syrupy dessert Künefe’s origin is thought to be Kadayif dessert. The most important characteristics that distinguish this dessert from kadayif are that it is thinner than kadayif dessert and it has cheese filling.

Hasan Masat represents Hatay’s Künefe both in Turkey and World. The reason for that is Geographic Indication Certificate of Hatay Künefe is given to Hasan Masat by the Turkish Government.

A total of 1,850 m² production area, with friendly staff, annual production capacity of 220,000 servings of künefe, the facility serves all of Turkey and Europe. In addition, a new production facility is established in Macedonia in order to serve Europe more easily.
